2014 Season is Almost Here!
We are so excited to get this season under way.
We will be doing some updates on one of the cabins and can't wait to show it to you.
We have our shopping list ready and just need to place an order and do the shopping and then the crew (Thom and Uncle Bill) can get started on the updates.
The yard is getting a little update too!
We're always looking for ways to improve on your Alaska Experience while you stay with us. :)
I can hardly wait to post photo's of the updates, but alas that won't be until May.
Book early so you don't miss out on staying with us.

Thunder or a Glacier?
This is
AIALIK GLACIER
Recently while in SW Wisconsin a thunder storm rolled through. There was thunder and lightening everywhere. I love a good storm, the sounds the sights, the smells and how everything looks just a little bit greener afterwards.
You may not know this but in the Seward area rarely if ever do we get to experience a thunder storm.
You're probably asking yourself what a glacier has to do with any of this?
When you experience the majesty of the glaciers close your eyes and listen. The sound a glacier makes with it creaking and cracking sounds very much like thunder.
When I am viewing a glacier I can close my eyes and imagine I am in a thunder storm and when I am viewing a thunder storm I can close my eyes and imagine I'm in Alaska sitting on a boat or in a kayak in front of a glacier.

“Nice cabins in a wooded area!”
We stayed at the cabin#1 for five days and we had a great time. The cabin is located near the sea and my kids had a great time at the end of each day watching the fishermen as they return from the sea and clean their catch in Miller's Landing "dock". Also, there is a wonderful trailhead at walking distance and it was one of the best hiking I have ever done.
The cabin was slightly small for five people but were comfortable. It was very clean and all appliances worked just fine! It is equipped with all you need, including a grill. I will definitely come back.
